10^th grade students visited Okinawa on a school trip. Okinawa is one of the places where Japan fought a ground battle during World WarⅡ.

 As a peace study, we went into the natural cave called Gama. It was used as a military camp during the war. Not only armies but also local people and students who worked as nurses took shelter there.

 We were very shocked to hear that people had stayed for more than 3 months. It must have been like hell to spend time in fear in the dark cave.

 This trip made reconfirmed for us the importance of peace.
