Hibaku Piano Concert

Our chorus club took part in the Hibaku Piano Concert.
The concert was planned by the Peace Club which consists of junior and senior high school students in Hiroshima.
This concert was held for spreading the members’ hopes for peace.
The piano used in the concert belonged to a girl who was killed by the atomic bomb in 1945.
The piano was damaged by the weapon, too.
It was damaged by broken glass when a window was broken by the impact of the bomb.
As many as 100 students played the piano, other instruments and sang.
More than 300 people listened to our performance.
We wanted our songs and hopes for peace to spread throughout the people’s hearts!
