Lecture by Yasuda Natsuki

Yasuda Natsuki, who is a photo journalist, visited our school on March 14th.
She spoke about the Cambodian Civil War, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Syrian Civil War.
I heard she went to Cambodia as a Children Without Borders member when she was 16.
After that she thought about what she should do in order to repay the favors of people who had helped her.
Then she decided to be a photo journalist, so that people all over the world would know about the casualties in Cambodia, Syria and so on.
As I looked at her photos, I knew the photos may hurt someone.
At the same time I felt their power to convey a story.
Thanks to her talk, the value of our lessons about fostering peace became clearer to us.
Please look forward to our blog being updated.
