Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris France caught fire on April 15, this year. The steeple, which was 96 meters high, suffered great damage.
We students were shocked and sad to hear this news and wanted to do something. So we made a portrait of the Virgin Mary in a paper mosaic – using traditional Japanese paper. This “Chigiri” picture is still on display in the school. We have also raised funds. We hope Notre Dame Cathedral will be restored as soon as possible.
