Looking Back at the First year of High School

How did you spend last year?
The spread of COVID-19 infection has greatly changed our school life. We couldn’t have lunch with our friends and we were always conscious of social distance. Also, events such as school festivals and sports festivals were canceled or postponed.
Our class was also scheduled to go on a school trip to Okinawa in October, but it was postponed until February. However, a state of emergency was declared in 11 prefectures, and it was postponed again. We were very disappointed to hear the news.
But the other day, we heard that it would be postponed until the second year of high school in October!!! We were glad to learn that it was not canceled.
We are unable to attend many events this year, but we hope next year the COVID-19 infection will go away and we can return to our usual daily life.
